Hood / Fun meets contemporary.
✺ Visual Identity & Branding
Hood is a neighborhood bookstore located in the 9th arrondissement in Paris, France. The founder’s approach is to offer an ultra-curated selection with an emphasis in the visual arts—from architecture, fashion, design and fine art, to children’s books, graphic novels, magazines and literature.
Hood approached Harrington to design a fun, lively and unique identity, but one that was also simple, minimal and contemporary. The solution is a word-mark and visual container that acts as “book-ends” to any concept or idea that falls within the realm of the visual arts. It is ever-changing and evolving and can express most any emotion, character and personality. Animation brings the visual identity to life along with an expanded visual language that is bright, fun, uplifting and inspiring.
